In 2021, Riaan Fourie bought his first herd of 90 commercial Bonsmara cows and 500 ha farm land. But one dream gives birth to the next and Riaan’s constant search for the best, led him to expand into the next steps in the value chain – and the result is Fourie Landgoed, as it is known today – a diversified business with commercial properties, transport, agricultural organisation as well as the butcheries that owns its complete value chain.
Based in Pretoria, Fourie Landgoed consists of a commercial Simmentaler herd, a feedlot, retail butcheries, a game farm and exotic animals. Today Fourie Landgoed consists of 5 business entities, each adding value to Fourie Landgoed.
Established in 2022 as one man’s dream to provide superior quality products, Die Kraal Butchery has grown from strength to strength. It was the dream of a young man that committed to hard work and long hours that has built Die Kraal to what it is today. Never taking his eye of the fact that people will always have the need for food. Die Kraal is focused on a niche market where only the best would ever be good enough, whether it be supplier, product or hygiene. With this in mind we started our own Feedlot in 2023 where we can select only the best beef and sheep from our own farms.
From humble beginnings we have established ourselves as suppliers of only the best quality meat money can buy. Our focus has always been meat and just meat and we continually strive to keep in touch with our clients and their specific needs. We will never lose focus of the fact that the consumers needs changes on a daily basis and with this in mind we always explore new and exciting ideas and variations that you will not find in many other butcher shops. Our variety is second to none and will always keep expanding.
